Description
Bridge House is a cottage dating from the 18th century, possibly with an earlier core. It is constructed of local stone that is cut and squared. The eastern portion of the building has a thatched roof, while the taller western portion features plain clay tiles between coped gables. There are brick and stone chimney stacks at both ends. The eastern section is a single storey with an attic and consists of two bays, while the western section is two storeys high with two bays, making a total of four bays. The first two bays have casement windows, one of which is older and has leaded glass, and above is a smaller old casement window set into the thatched roof. The entrance door in bay three is a six-fielded panel design, and bays three and four have 16-pane sash windows. To the east, there is a single-storey extension with a corrugated asbestos cement sheet roof and varied window styles, which may have originally been another cottage.
