Description
A small row of cottages, likely dating from the 17th or early 18th century, and significantly altered since. The buildings are two storeys high. The fronts are plastered, with roughcast to number 63, which projects slightly to the right. The roofs are covered with old pantiles. Number 59 has an eaves cornice, and part of a modillion cornice is visible on number 63. Number 59 has three first-floor casement windows without glazing bars, and a large casement window on the ground floor to the left. An early 19th-century moulded architrave frames the doorway. Number 61 has two sash windows in plain reveals, with glazing bars, and a plain opening leading to a passage on the right. Number 63 features 19th-century Tudor style detailing, including two windows with two and three lights, stone mullions, and hoodmoulds. A central door is flanked by a projecting one-storey addition to the left. Numbers 51 to 69 (odd) form a group.
