Description
Bubwith Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse located on the west side of High Street in Wookey Hole. It is built from rubble and features a triple Roman tiled roof with coped verges and a combination of rubble and brick stacks. The building is designed in an L-shape and has two storeys with a facade of four bays on the left and two bays on the right.
On the left side, there are flush-mounted 12-pane sash windows with exposed sash boxes, except for a ground floor window which is a 2-light mullioned and transomed window with square paned leaded lights. To the right, there are 2 and 3-light casements with glazing bars, one of which has leaded lights. The central door opening features a 6-panelled door, with the top two panels being glazed and a pentice supported by a wooden bracket above it.
The forecourt is enclosed by a rubble wall and includes a 20th-century gate.
