Description
Huntworth House is a small country house with origins in the 17th and 18th centuries, featuring 19th-century alterations. The exterior is finished in colourwashed roughcast, topped with double Roman and triple Roman tile roofs and brick stacks. The main front is two stories high and consists of three sections with a total of eleven bays, arranged in a 2:3:6 pattern. Rusticated pilasters separate the bay sets and are also found on the left side. The right bay set has an attic with blocked windows. Most windows are two or three-light casements, except for the left two bays, which have sash windows with glazing bars. On the ground floor, there are two canted bay windows. The house has two door openings topped with triangular pediments on pilasters, featuring panelled reveals and panelled doors with glazed lights. At the rear, there is a pyramidal roofed wing that includes a small wooden turret, a cupola, and a weather vane.
