Description

No 1 on Mill Lane is a pair of cottages, likely built in the early 19th century, with minimal alterations. The exterior is made of local stone rubble that was once whitewashed, and it features a mostly stone tile roof, with one bay covered in clay pantiles and a coped gable on the south side. There is a central brick chimney stack. The building has two storeys and consists of four bays in total. The upper bays 1 and 4 and the lower bays 2 and 3 have small-pane, 2-light casement windows, with the lower bays featuring segmental arched heads. Bay 1 has a plain boarded door set in a heavy frame with a glazed panel, while bay 4 has a similar unglazed door. The interiors have not been seen.
