Description

Gladstone House and the attached chapel were built in the early 19th century. The structure is made of coursed and squared rubble with slate roofs and brick stacks. The building has an L-shaped frontage, with the chapel projecting to the right under a gable that features a pediment and ramped coping on each side. The chapel has a two-storey front with tall, two-light Gothick windows that have dressed stone surrounds. It includes a central door with a pointed head, featuring paired panelled doors and a panelled transom light above, along with a blank quatrefoil above that. The house has three bays set back to the left, featuring flush-mounted 16-pane sash windows. There is a door opening between the first and second bays, which consists of a four-panelled door and a trellis porch.
