DOULTING CP CHURCH LANE (South side) ST6443 12/128 Ames monument in churchyard, 5m south of organ chamber of Church - of St. Aldhelm GV II

Chest tomb. Earliest inscription of 1700, inscription marking a restoration of 1869; to Ames family. Dressed stone. Oblong chest on a moulded plinth, inscription panels to each face with bolection-moulded surrounds, stepped hipped slab top moulded around lower edge. Inscriptions to north and south.
