Description

The buildings at 23-25 Naish’s Street date from 1630 to 1705, as evidenced by lease records. Numbers 24 and 25 were originally a single house, both featuring gables to the attics, while number 23 has a dormer window. The walls are constructed of rubble and the roofs are tiled with pantiles. Numbers 24 and 25 have dressings surrounding small-pane sash windows on the ground and first floors. Number 23 contains three-light casement windows arranged asymmetrically, and a door is positioned to the left. Numbers 24 and 25 share a paired entrance in the centre. Inside number 23, there is a newel staircase to the left of the chimney, and the interior features stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops. Number 25 also has a newel staircase, and a gable relating to a former staircase is located at the rear of number 24.
