Description

Mount Pleasant is a late 17th or early 18th century building situated on Little Keyford Lane, and originally part of a range of three properties numbered 3 to 5. The building is constructed of rubble, with Nos. 4 and 5 rendered. It has a machine tile roof, although No. 3 was roofless at the time of the most recent survey. No. 3 features a series of two-light stone mullion windows with ogee moulding and dripmould on the ground floor, and a door to the right. A two-light stone mullion window with ovolo moulding is visible on the first floor of No. 4, alongside two mid-19th century sash windows and a ledged door. The rear elevation incorporates a three-light stone mullion window with ogee moulding. No. 5 has modern casement windows on both floors, alongside a modern door. The interior of No. 4 includes a large fireplace with a bread oven and an adjacent newel staircase.
