Description

The Mount, dating from the late 17th century, was probably originally a single house. It is a 2½ storey building constructed of rubble with a pantile roof featuring two raking top dormers and stone end chimneys. The façade has three early 18th century three-light casement windows, which have set-back ogee moulded stone surrounds and dripmoulds. The right-hand range includes stone mullions. The ground floor window is narrower to accommodate the door of No 6. The doorway to No 5 has been altered in modern times but retains an original chamfered surround. Inside No 5, there is a winder staircase adjacent to the stack.
