Description

The Manor is a late 19th-century house situated in Evercreech. It is built of coursed and squared blue lias stone with Doulting dressings and has a slate roof, decorative bargeboards, and tall ashlar stacks. The house presents as a square block, with a commanding height and symmetrical design, accompanied by a service wing to the rear, executed in a "Georgian" style. The main block rises two storeys and has an attic, with three bays. It features multi-paned sash windows within shouldered surrounds, with cills resting on brackets, alternating raised quoins, and a plat band marking the first floor. A central square portico is topped with a strapwork parapet, features a shouldered opening, a panelled floor, and a transom light. The side returns retain their original window arrangement.
