Description
No. 221 on Preston Road is a cottage that likely dates back to the 17th century but has been significantly reconstructed. It is built from local stone and features a thatched roof. The cottage has two storeys and a T-shaped plan. The main elevation, which faces away from the road, appears to have been completely rebuilt. There are some stone mullioned windows on the ground floor, with the one on the west side possibly being original. At the north end of the front projection, there is a projecting stack with angled offsets and a late brick termination. The end brick stacks on the main block are not projecting. The interior has not been inspected.
