Description

There are two chest tombs located 1-2 metres east of the porch at the Church of St Mary. These tombs date from the 17th century and are unidentified. The tomb closest to the porch is made of Dundry stone, has a flat top, a moulded plinth, and is otherwise plain and very weatherworn. The second tomb is made of red sandstone, also flat topped, featuring a wave moulded cornice and a moulded plinth. This tomb is unusually narrow and short, likely indicating it is a child's tomb.
