Description
St Audrey's is a house that has been converted into offices, built in 1836. The building features a rendered exterior on an ashlar plinth and has a hipped Welsh slate roof with stone chimney stacks. It is two storeys high and has three bays on the south elevation. The windows are 12-pane sashes on the lower level and 3-pane sashes above, all set in plain raised surrounds. The central entrance consists of a 6-panel door framed by a Regency style surround, which includes Doric pilasters, an entablature with rosettes, and a flat hood. The side elevation also has two bays that match the front, and there is a pedimented doorway on the north elevation. The interior has not been seen. The house was built by Mr. Edward Cooper in 1836 but was burnt out before it could be occupied, necessitating reconstruction. According to Sweetman, it incorporates fragments of a 17th-century house.
