Description

Fons George is a large house, likely dating from the mid-19th century, situated in its own grounds opposite St George's Church. It has been divided into two properties. The house is composed of two large, two-storey gabled wings, with a smaller gabled wing attached to the right wing. A low crenellated screen wall runs between the wings. The walls are rendered, and the roof is slate-covered. The house features curved and fretted bargeboards and eaves boards, with a single window in each gable. The windows are paired sashes under rectangular dripmoulds, with glazing bars. Each gable is decorated with diamond panels featuring cusping and shields.
