Description
The former stable, located about 3 meters west of Old Beams, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of local lias stone rubble and features a hipped Welsh slate roof with a stone ridge and hips, topped with a ball finial at the center. The building has a small, almost cuboid shape, measuring approximately 2.5 by 3 meters, and includes a pointed segmental arched doorway on the east side, which is fitted with a boarded door. The interior is still arranged as a stable. It is said that this stable was built by the minister of the nearby Methodist Chapel, which has since been demolished, to house his horse while he conducted services at the chapel.
