Description
The Farthing family chest tomb and railings, located in the churchyard 12 metres northeast of the chancel of the Church of All Saints, date from the mid-19th century. The tomb is made of limestone and is designed in the Gothic style. It features a ledger top, a marbled cornice with a frieze of stylized flowers, and three bay arcades that are separated by stepped buttresses. The tomb has a deeply moulded plinth and is inscribed on the top and sides to members of the Farthing family. Surrounding the tomb are dwarf, cast iron railings in a Gothic style, which are slightly damaged but still create an attractive composition with the chest tomb.
