Description

The buffet chest tomb, located in the churchyard 3 metres north of the north transept-choir of the Church of St. Andrew, dates from the mid-18th century and is made of Bath stone. It features a ledger top with a cyma recta moulded cornice and a moulded plinth that rests on three exposed courses of red brick arranged in an irregular bond. The south side of the tomb is inscribed with the name Buffet and the date of death, 1734, although the "3" is not certain.
