Description
This is a terrace of six early 19th-century dwellings, known as The Conies, with an adjoining building, The Warren, to the west. The houses are built with a random rubble base and are rendered on the exterior. They have a hipped slate roof covered with bitumen, decorative brackets, and brick stacks. The original plan comprised six single-cell units, with a carriageway entrance to the rear of the sixth dwelling, fronted by a two-cell building.
The buildings are two storeys high and have a four-window front with two bays. Most windows are all-pane sashes, although a 19th-century replacement exists in the second bay of the left-hand side (No. 2). A semicircular arched carriageway entrance is positioned between the second and third bays on the right-hand side, while entrances are located between the first and second bays, and the third and fourth bays, on the right-hand side. There are two entrances between the second and third bays on the left-hand side, and one between the first and second bays on the left-hand side. These entrances have semicircular arched openings, glazed fanlights, and half-glazed doors.
