Description
Marsh Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse featuring local Flemish bond brickwork. It has a plain band at the first floor level, a moulded cornice, a brick parapet with a plain coping, coped verges, and a slate roof with end brick stacks. The building has a symmetrical frontage with two storeys and three bays. The first floor has 12-pane sash windows, while the ground floor has 16-pane sash windows, both with stepped voussoirs. The central door opening contains a 6-panelled door and a transomlight with glazing bars. To the left of the frontage, there is a rendered wall at right angles, with coping that ramps down in three sections. Additionally, there are a pair of brick gate piers with hipped caps and a wrought-iron gate.
