Description
The Vicarage is a building dating from the late 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It features Flemish bond brickwork and a double-roman tile roof with a double span. The design includes a moulded cornice, a brick parapet, plain coping, coped verges, and brick stacks that are ramped up. The symmetrical frontage has two storeys and three bays, with a plain stone band at the first floor level. The first floor has 12-pane sash windows with stepped voussoirs. On the ground floor, there are two projecting flat-roofed wooden bay windows, each with five lights and transoms. The door opening is located on the right return and consists of paired three-panelled doors, with the top panels being glazed. A projecting flat-roofed porch, styled similarly to the bay windows, features leaded lights with stained glass. At the rear, there is a range built in a conforming style from the mid to late 19th century. There are sections of brick walling on each side of the frontage. The interior retains original features from the same period, including a staircase, fireplaces, and ornamental plasterwork.
