Description
Station Road Farmhouse and the attached barn to the left were built in the late 18th century. The farmhouse features roughcast that mimics ashlar stone, with chamfered quoins, a coped verge on the left, wide eaves, and a double Roman concrete tile roof that has a bellcast shape. It has two storeys and a symmetrical front with three bays, each containing 12-pane sash windows that are highlighted by prominent stepped voussoirs. The central door is set in a semi-circular stone surround and features a six-panelled door with a blocked fanlight above, topped with an open pediment supported by a pair of pilasters. To the right of the farmhouse is a contiguous outshut with a coped verge and a brick ridge stack, but it has no window openings. The attached barn on the left is also two storeys high, rendered, and has a hipped slate roof. It includes a single hay-loft door on the first floor and broad paired plank doors with glazed upper sections on the ground floor, along with a three-light 20th-century casement window.
