Description

Stanley House is a late 18th-century house located on the south side of St Marys Street in Axbridge. The building is roughcast with a double Roman tile roof and features two brick ridge stacks. It stands two storeys high and has three bays. The first floor has 12-pane sash windows, while the ground floor has 16-pane sash windows, with the centre window being blank. The central door opening is framed by a semi-circular headed stone surround that includes shaped consoles supporting an open pediment. The door itself is a six-panelled design, and there is a blocked fanlight above it.
