Description

The Baker monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 14 metres south-west of the nave of the Church of St. Peter. It dates from the 17th century and is made of Ham stone. The base is buried, featuring plain sides and flanks, along with a plain frieze. The tomb has a heavy flat top with bullnosed leading edges. It commemorates John Baker, who died in the 1600s, as well as other family members, with the latest recorded death date being 1763.
