Description

The churchyard cross, located about 6 metres south of the south aisle of the Church of St Andrew, dates back to the early 14th century and was restored in the late 19th century. It is made of red sandstone and features a chamfered octagonal base. The cross has a three-stage calvary, with the lower stages having nosing to the steps and a broached socket that forms a substantial base for the tapering octagonal shaft. At the top, it is adorned with a group depicting Christ crucified, accompanied by praying angels in the style of the 15th century.
