Description
This is a short range of two-storey cottages dating to the 18th century, located along Mount Street. Numbers 10 to the rear, and the right-hand end is returned forward. The construction is of red brick on the left side, and the right side is whitewashed roughcast. It has a continuous pantile roof with old tiles to the returned wing. The cottages originally had four windows on the left, with a variety of four-light casements in wood frames. Ground-floor windows are fitted with cambered lintels. There are three entrances; the entrance to number 9 has a small wooden porch. Number 11 on the right-hand end has three windows with moulded architrave surrounds and sash windows with glazing bars. The entrance to number 11 is around the corner to the right. These cottages form part of a group of listed buildings that also includes the Unitarian Chapel, The Lawn, Mary Street House, buildings in Vivary Park, Wilton House, and numbers 1 to 14 Upper High Street.
