Description
The Bellett family monument is a chest tomb from the 18th century, located about 7 meters south-east of the chancel at the Church of the Holy Cross in Sampford Arundel. It is made of red sandstone and features a ledger top with raised and fielded panels. The north side has tripartite end pilasters adorned with cherub heads, while the south sides display a skull and crossbones. The name of Mary Bellett is inscribed on the north side, which is the only face that is legible. The Bellett family resided at Easterlands, which is not included in this listing.
