Description

No. 42 is a house located on West Street, dating from the late 18th century. The building is roughcast with a double Roman tile roof and features a tall brick ridge stack on the left and coped verges on the right. It is two storeys high with two bays. The windows are three-light casements with glazing bars; the first-floor windows have an emphasised lintel, while the ground-floor windows are adorned with stepped voussoirs. The central door opening is framed by a chamfered stone surround and also has stepped voussoirs. The door itself is a six-panelled design, with the top four panels being glazed.
