Description

No. 43 on West Street is a house that likely dates from the 17th century, with alterations made in the early 19th and 20th centuries. The building is rendered and features a double Roman tile roof with brick end ridge stacks. It has two storeys and three bays. On the first floor, there is a 16-pane sash window to the left and a 12-pane sash window from the 20th century to the right, both of which are flush mounted. The central window on the first floor has been blocked, although the surrounding frame remains. On the ground floor, there is a single sash window, with the lower sash partially blocked and two vertical glazing bars in the upper sash. To the left, there is a door opening with ovolo moulded wooden jambs and a moulded wooden lintel, leading to a 20th-century half-glazed door.
