Description
Heale Lodge is a lodge that has been converted into a dwelling. It is constructed of lias rubble and features a double-Roman tiled roof with large banded stacks. The building is designed in the Gothick style and is a single storey with an attic, comprising two bays. The ground floor has pointed-arch windows set in brick surrounds, with casements that include Y-tracery and diamond-paned leaded lights. The first floor features similar casements in raking dormers, which were likely altered in the late 19th century. The entrance has a pointed-arch door opening with an ornamental ribbed door, which is noted as being unusual. Heale Lodge is recognized as an unusually complete example of a Gothick lodge.
