Description

The former bakehouse and cider house located at the rear of Hillards Farmhouse dates back to the 16th century. It is constructed from coursed rubble and timber framing, with plastered nogging and a corrugated-iron roof that has replaced the original thatch. The building is two storeys high, with an attic in the three bays on the left side. It features seven bays with irregular window placements, including four openings, one of which is a triple-light window on the first floor with octagonal mullions. The side elevation displays a hipped gable that is weatherboarded. A cider mill was added to the structure in 1774.
