Description
Langfords Farmhouse is a detached house located on Main Road, with origins dating back to the 17th century and modifications made in the 19th century. It is constructed from local grey lias stone that has been cut and squared, with ham stone dressings. The roof is covered with double Roman clay tiles and features coped gables, along with brick chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and displays irregular fenestration across its two bays. The windows are hollow-chamfer mullioned, consisting of three lights set in plain recesses without labels, and are fitted with diamond leaded glass. To the left of the second bay, there is a six-panel door set in a recess, featuring fielded panelling and a plain timber architrave. The north gable indicates that the roof has been raised, and there is a lean-to extension at the rear. Although the interior has not been seen, it has been reported to have a two-room cross-passage plan with collar trusses.
