Description
Beechams is an agent's house located within the grounds of Barrington Court, built between 1921 and 1925 by Forbes and Tate for A.A. Lyle. The house is constructed of rubble with coursed and squared freestone dressings, topped with a hipped plain tile roof and tall rubble stacks. It features a symmetrical front in the Tudor style, with two storeys and an attic, arranged in a 2:1:2 bay configuration. The windows are stone-mullioned, comprising 2, 3, and 4 lights. A projecting central porch rises to the attic and has a front-facing gable, with a continuous label over the heads of the ground floor windows. The outer door has a four-centred arch opening and is made of planks.
