MONTACUTE CP THE BOROUGH (north side, off) Pool with fountain in north garden, about 60 metres north-north-west of Montacute House

GV II Pool with fountain. 1894 by R.S. Balfour, on site of or close by to C16 pond. Ham stone ashlar. Greek cross plan with convex quarter-circles in angles: pool framed by low plinth, on which are turned balusters with moulded coping in all about 800mm high, with piers having obelisk finials to the eight principal corners: fountain a simple spout only.
