Description

Park House is a villa-style house built in 1828, replacing the former vicarage at No. 43 Bishopston. It is constructed of Ham stone ashlar with a hipped Welsh slate roof and stone chimney stacks. The two-storey house has a symmetrical design with three bays across and three bays deep. Features include a plinth and band course, with sash windows having 12 panes above and a deep 15 panes below. A blind panel with a fluted stone surround and moulded hood is located in the lower bay of the south elevation, designed to resemble a panelled door. The entrance on the east side is distinguished by a semi-circular arched doorway with a reeded architrave and wrought-iron railings lead to the approach steps. Attached to the north are the former stables and gig house. The interior has not been inspected.
