Description
This is a latrine and garden wall located adjacent to the southeast corner of Compton House in Axbridge. The latrine, likely built in the 17th century and restored in the 19th century, is a small square structure made of rubble with a flat lead roof. It features an oval window opening on the east and west sides, although the glazing is missing. There is a door opening on the north side with a four-panelled door.
Inside, the latrine has wooden benches affixed to the walls on two sides, providing accommodation for four persons. The attached garden wall, also made of rubble, extends to the north and south.
