Description

The Adams monument is a chest tomb located about 7 metres south-east of the tower of the Church of All Saints on Church Street. It dates from the 18th century and is made of Ham stone. The tomb features a moulded base on a stepped plinth, with one fielded panel on each face and coffer-panelled pilasters on the sides. The top is moulded and coved, with rounded leading edges. This monument commemorates William Adams, who died in 1770, and his first wife Anne, who died in 1755.
