Description
The boundary walling, gate piers, and gates to The Grange date from the early 19th century and form a roadside boundary. The wall is made of rubble and varies in height from approximately one and a half to four metres, featuring a steeply ramped plain coping. At the eastern end, there is a pair of rusticated ashlar gate piers with moulded caps that have paterae, along with decorative wrought and cast iron gates. The western end has ashlar gate piers with moulded and cross gabled caps adorned with palmette decoration, leading to paired plank gates. Additionally, there is a pointed arch door opening towards the eastern end of the wall, which features a traceried gate with iron panels.
