Description
Nos 50 and 52 Parliament Street are 19th-century buildings that stand three storeys tall with dormers. They feature a slated mansard roof adorned with pedimented dormers, a parapet with balustraded panels, and ball finials. A cornice runs along the top. The buildings are constructed of grit stone ashlar and have recessed sash windows, with bay windows on the first floor. The ground floor has projecting shopfronts supported by pilasters that carry a fascia-entablature. The shop windows showcase Art Nouveau stained glass work in the upper leaded lights, and there are recessed shop doorways with fanlights. These buildings are included for their group value with Nos 50 to 58 (even) and Nos 2 and 4 Kings Road.
