Description

These gate piers, located approximately 10 metres south of the door to Swale View, date from the early 18th century. They are made of ashlar stone and feature rebated square piers with chamfered rustication on chamfered bases. The piers have cornices, blocking courses, and ogee bases that were designed to hold absent ball finials. They are included in the listing for their group value.
