Description

Rose Cottage and its railings date from the mid-18th century and have been altered since their original construction. The house is built with roughcast rendering, has a pantile roof, and features wrought-iron railings. It is two storeys high and has three bays. A part-glazed door, set within a pedimented stone architrave, sits between the first and second bays. Windows are 3-light casements, likely replacements from the 20th century. Ashlar copings cap the walls. Brick stacks are located between bays one and two, then between bays two and three, and at the right end of the building. A low rubble wall with saddleback copings runs in front of the house, supporting plain wrought-iron railings. The property is included on the heritage register for its group value.
