Description

This is a table tomb dating from around 1806, located approximately 2 metres west of the enclosed graves in the churchyard of St Mary's Church in Barton. It is constructed of ashlar sandstone and features an H-plan support structure beneath a gable-section moulded top. The end panels are adorned with carvings of drapes over urns and fluted corner columns. The spine panel includes commemorative inscriptions; the inscription on the south side is illegible, while the north side commemorates William Robson of Newton Morrell, who died in 1806.
