Description
Ravenshaw Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-18th century and 19th century. It is constructed of limewashed squared rubble with painted stone dressings and features a stone slate roof. The building has a central staircase plan and is two storeys high with a double fronted design. The central entrance has a plain surround and a plank door. On the right-hand side, there is one window per storey that is a late 17th century to early 18th century 3-light chamfered mullioned window. On the left-hand side, there is also one window per storey, which is a mid-18th century 3-light flat faced mullioned window. All windows have 20th century casements and fixed lights. The farmhouse has right-hand gable and left-hand ridge stacks. Inside, there is a 17th century stone flagged winder staircase.
