Description
Bridge House is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century, with origins in the 17th century. It is constructed of watershot masonry with stone dressings and a stone slate roof. The building is arranged around a central staircase and has a gable end facing the street. It is two storeys high and double-fronted. The central entrance has a plain surround and a plank door. The windows have plain surrounds, recessed flat-faced mullions, and fixed lights and sashes, without glazing bars. The left-hand bay features two lights in each storey, while the right-hand bay has three lights in both storeys. There are ridge stacks at the former gables on the left and right sides. At the rear, a former 17th-century window remains, consisting of a double-chamfered mullioned window with two lights on each floor. The left-hand light of both rear windows is now blocked.
