Description
This boundary stone, dating from the mid to late 18th century, is made of gritstone and is located in a field wall approximately 20 metres from the roadside. It measures about 30 centimetres wide and 80 centimetres high. The west side features the inscription 'T F' in deeply-cut Roman letters. Most of the stone is hidden by the dry-stone wall in which it is set. This stone marks the boundary between the Farnley estate, associated with T Fawkes, and the Harewood estate, linked to Edwin Lascelles, who died in 1795.
