Description

Long Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th century or early 18th century. It is built of reddish-brown local brick in an irregular bond. The cottage features stepped and cogged eaves, which are interrupted by upper windows, and has a first-floor band. The ends of the building have Dutch gables and the roof is steeply pitched, covered with renewed pantiles. There is a chimney on the west gable with brick bands, as well as one at the ridge. The cottage has two storeys and four bays, with a small blocked opening above the central entrance. The entrance has a modern door, and the windows are casement style.
