Description

These are a pair of late 18th-century houses on Kirkgate in Knaresborough. The houses are rendered, with a Westmorland slate roof. They are three storeys high with two windows on the first floor. A rendered plinth and quoins are visible on the left-hand side. A central pair of six-panel doors are present, with blocked traceried fanlights above. Boarded cellar hatches are located at pavement level, each with a three-light bow window with glazing bars above. Sixteen-pane sashes are set within flush frames on the first and second floors. A first-floor band and an eaves band run around the building. A moulded stone kneeler is on the left-hand side, and end stacks are present.
