Description
Witherholme Hall is a farmhouse dating from the mid-16th century, with some alterations. It is constructed of rubble and pantile, featuring two storeys and a loft, with three bays. The openings have segmental arches made of brick headers. There is a central 20th-century six-panel door beneath a three-pane overlight. The windows are 20th-century sash windows with glazing bars set in exposed sash boxes. The end stacks are rebuilt in brick and rise from stepped external stacks. At the rear, there is a single-storey outshut that was raised to two storeys in brick around 1900. The layout is similar to that of Carlton House in Carlton Husthwaite, which dates to 1674.
