Description
The Bay Horse Inn is a public house dating from the 17th century, with later additions from the 19th century and beyond. The main building is constructed of large coursed stone, while the left section, originally a single storey, has been raised in red brick. There is a rendered extension on the right. The roof is pantiled with brick stacks. The inn has two storeys and features an irregular arrangement of four and three bays. A plinth is present at the base of the main house. The main part has a 20th-century glazed door, while the right extension has a boarded door. The windows vary and include Yorkshire sashes, double-hung sashes in the right part, and 19th-century casements. There are end chimneys, with the right one having been rebuilt. A 20th-century south extension is noted but is not of interest.
