Description

Hutton Bridge is a bridge over the River Leven, built in 1755. It is constructed from squared sandstone in slightly uneven courses. The bridge features two segmental arches, which have voussoirs and projecting keystones, set within hollow-moulded arch rings. Cutwaters rise into pedestrian refuges, and there are bands at roadbed level. The parapet walls return slightly at the south end, while the parapet-abutment walls continue and splay out widely at the north end.
